It is.
That's how it's supposed to be set up apparently.
Makes the springs super soft.

You can't tell about shackle angle till you get weight on it and the u-bolts tightened down.

shackle angle at ride height don't mean much....it's the extremes that count (parallel to the ground at bump, perpendicular to it at droop)

The angle is a bit much with the rear yj springs in the rear. They have less arch than. The 4 leaf fronts. Or maybe my rear springs are just fawked.

Front suspension is done for the most part.
I picked up some Beefy shackles for it today too.

Here is the rear shackle angle at full droop. there isn't any bushings in the big sides of the leafs right now either.

It must of just been the camera angle because the shackle angle looks good now, it should settle out to a nice angle. You making good progress
Keep it up and you might get to drive it while it's still warm

I bet the shackle mounts will need to be modified. They are going to be about flat (parallel) with the ground at ride height. Also, those front shackles are pretty long. Long front shackles suck for 4 wheel driving IMO. first thing to hit the rocks and will bend / break leaf springs.

They won't be flat if the front hanger is in the right spot, and most people run a missing link setup in the front. Everything he is doing has been done before and works, not sure if it's technically correct, but it's been done.

^^^ this. And I'll say it again, till there is weight on the springs, the shackle angle doesn't mean shit.

I am betting $500 casino cash that the fronts are going to have to be moved forward.

No idea on the front, but the rear should be close to this when done.
