Well started on my axle swap today.
Pulled the tiny dana30 out.
I decided with the new axle I was going to get rid of the radius arm and go with a three link suspension.
I found a good spot to mount the shocks just need to make some brackets so its double sheer.

Got it setting on rollers I still need to make a track bar and figure out what I want to do for steering.

I ran 38" sx's with my 44 and they did great. Sometimes I wish I would have stopped there. Plan on a set of chromos!

Is a doubler going to be used much here in Michigan? They are for rocky terrain, no?

here is how i justify a doubler. the cost will be cheaper than regearing my axles and i can keep the 4.10 ratio witch means i can still drive on the highway without running 4000rpms. and the 231/300 combo is only like an inch longer than a stock 231 so packaging wont be an issue.
