Default 4x4 Service truck build

Well here I am, my first build thread. Figured I would share the stuff I do in the case there is someone else who wants ideas for something similar. Anyways..

Here it is. Its a 2000 Ford F350 Cab and chassis with a 9' Knapheide service body. Has the 7.3 with an automagic transmission, 4x4 with manual tcase and hubs. It runs and drives great, but it does need some work.

Plans:

Air compressor of some sort (maybe york under the hood?)
Inverter(s)
Tools
ladder rack
Lights, lots of em.
New leaf springs, possibly +an inch or two in height
35" tires
Grille guard + winch
????

Hoping to make this truck a do-it-all, go anywhere truck. Will post pics as I do stuff.

Thank's y'all. Glad to see it interests some!

Got a few pieces of the puzzle figured out today. Picked up an old Sears gas compressor. Going to slap a Predator engine from the ol' harbor freight on it. It is a two cylinder compressor on a 20(ish) gallon tank. Should put out enough air to run my 1" impact.

Will upload pictures tomorrow.

Also picking up some ARB lockers for the truck too, should be cool.

Was thinking of using the Go Rhino 23364MB grille guard to mount the winch.. will probably end up beefing it up, but I like the looks of it.

I thought about your old truck and how it would have been (near) perfect for his needs. Bad timing I suppose.

Yeah I REALLY wanted to buy his old truck when it was up for sale, just didn't have the funding. I only paid $1700 for my truck as it sits. So far ive just done brakes and some little stuff. Going to start setting it up soon.

I did like the york compressor, ended up putting a 13 gal tank in one of the side boxes, but would have rather put it underneath somewhere if there was room. Tank I ended up with didn't fit where I wanted it to so I settled for the side box.

Also, you should consider the parker push connect with the twist lock. https://www.grainger.com/product/30N...g!538496703962!

I will look into those. I have boxes of Milton 1/2" hose fittings.. So ill probably end up using those, but i like the sounds of those.

Somehow really f'd this post up ha stupid phone.

Also, installed my CB (Cobra 148) and a set of 40/20/40 lariat seats from an 05 F250. Much better than the old bench.

I was considering the york, however i got a really good deal on my gas powered compressor so ill probably use that for now. It should put out plenty of air for my 1" impact, i think it says 14 scfm at 90 psi.

Did a little work today on the truck. Had to hunt down someone to make me an air hose on a saturday, ended up at Am Dynic at 21 and Gratiot. Assembled the compressor and set up some of the air stuff on the truck. Seems to work great. Going to make a mount for the compressor, but no big deal. Up next is some PM work. Replace starter, oil change, rear wheel seals and change diff fluid all around. Oh boy. Made another youtube vidya too.

Thanks. Hope to keep the truck as organized as possible.. I hate shit everywhere.

Got a few goodies in today. Rear wheel seals, axle shaft O rings, Lubelocker gasket, and the OTC tool for the super duty 10.5 spindle nut. Gonna do all that and a starter tomorrow hopefully.

Amber strobes, everywhere.
LED light upgrades/fixing dash lights.
Inside box lighting.
