I basically got the cut of the spline started, then finished with a file to get the spline right. It still has contact with all splines on the sector shaft.

Lol no worries! As far as not really engineering the suspension, there is next to no information on doing this with these trucks. There's plenty of info on doing it with leafs, but very little using co's and links. Suspension geometry is no easy task to tackle in any way.

All around use, yes it is. fitting down quad trails, not so much.

Nice looking truck
But this is what it takes to fit a full size down a "jeep" trail
This is my cousins truck with the custom super short bed
And I agree I wouldn't consider your truck a bdmt at all

Your cousin's truck looks pretty cool. Looks like he's running 52"springs up front, that's a major upgrade in ride quality and flexibility.
Thanks for the compliments, phase 2 would include some mods to the front suspension and frame, plus a 4 link in the rear shortened to where 40" tires would be directly behind the cab. A doubler with a 205 behind a 241 with triple sticks to induce front tire burns. I'm positive these mods will get me down most any trail I wish to be on.

What year is it, looks like maybe a 72. Sounds like a fun machine to beat around in.

Please stick to the subject of this thread or I may be forced to report you. Subject = Big trucks.

Sterling, are your custom shackle mounts different from side to side? One has a weaker, bent tube mount and the other one is less weak / straight tubes. What was the reason for this?
