Started working on this again after doing vacation stuff to Iceland. I need to finish for DOA now since we have a spot for that. Sold a few things and started ordering more stuff to finish this. Just bit the bullet and ordered some KMC Machetes for wheel selection.

Lopped off the rear portion of frame again. Just doing a typical 2x3 and a rear bumper-ish

Going for the Rock Krawler style frame mounts for the links and will do a flat 3/8" aluminum skid. Before my skid was split into a couple pieces along with the cross member. Now it will be the cross member above the skid and a large flat skid with and engine skid to tie into that.

Got some time with the plasma cutter and used my cardboard cad pieces to make templates for my outer frame side brackets. Now I need to make the inside frame mount and cut off some of the old stuff for the new stuff to work.

full stuff

Track bar will be a bit of a challenge

My frame rail is .25" wider than it should be due to the upper link bracket assembly I made years ago, s I butt welded the new inner lower bracket to the bottom of the frame and then made a weld washer to extend onto the frame. The weld washer stops a little past where the tube is on the back side of the other plate.

Front lower inner

Front lower

Front lower again

Trans cross member. This allows me to have a flat belly skid that can be removed without removing the cross member

Probably doing something like this with the cage/shock tie in. May ditch the piece from the frame up to the cage though, or flip it to be behind the shock and tie into the C pillar mount down to the frame. Or move the axle mount for the shock to front side of the housing, moving it forward in the wheel well and making it almost exactly like the one pictured.

Horizontal tube will have a bend to meet B pillar and the other 2 tube and shock will meet at the bend

Looking to do similar to this

Do you plan to trim the body corner by the bumper? Feel like it's inevitable that the corner gets bent there

Propbably will just for looks. With a stretch and 42's my tires are past the bumper anyway, so it would be a special something to hit that little corner.
