Your insulation post made me think of the Stay Puft Marshmallow man from Ghostbusters.

Looks great, RBB! That's a lot of time and energy. The property looks awesome.

I know, my house doesn't need 10% of what RBB's place does, and I am feeling bad about not doing anything....

OK, how were you able to finance a house needing work? I just missed out on a nice 15 acre property with a manufactured home and polebarn because the furnace and water heater were MIA, and property was deemed cash only sale.

I bought my house in the same condition. I purchased it thru the bank that foreclosed on it. Couldn't get a loan other wise.

What's that? Not too knowledgeable on buying distressed properties, apparently.

<edit> Google is my friend. Not going to get enough out of my house to buy property.

At the end of the day we got it for 5,000 over what we thought we would settle for but we negotiated 100% of the mineral rights and are now receiving a bigger percentage from the Oil wells next door. The financing on this house and land got to the point of needing a PHD in what-the-fuck in order to figure it out but at the end of the day my payment is less than $1000 a month and every quarter we get a leftover check from the Oil Company.
