Maybe its just the picture but that truss wont do much for you if its only that high off the pig. I would shoot for at least an inch

Edit: looks like you will have it fully welded to the pig so you might not need an inch

I'll show you more pics at another point but yes it'll be fully welded to the pig. Also, the way it's designed it's right against the back of a rib on the pig so depending which angle you look at it, it'll look like there's more/less.

I meant single piece not price but once I get these cut and verify they fit, I plan on making more. I'll sell you a set cheap. These are only uppers right now but I'll make lowers too

Well this past weekend at silver lake I snapped a u joint, which in turn took out both shafts which then took out/damaged both ball joints. Luckily I'm able to get both shafts and the u joint warrantied out. We'll see if I can get the ball joints warrantied out too

You should yank the front end out of that truck and put it in your jeep lol

Got my truss and gussets back from the laser cutter today. I've very impressed with how well the gussets fit, only going to make a few minor changes to them to try and get as much edge contact as possible for welding purposes but they are definitely use-able as is. I haven't gotten a chance to check the fitment of my truss but I suspect some grinding will be needed as I built it off of a half ton housing and not a 3/4 ton housing.

Also, I picked up a new truck for towing purposes last Thursday from Stephanie's dealership. I love it so far, 3/4 ton 6.7L powerstroke.

Here are a couple pics of the gussets
Flat cuts

Bent up really nice just using a pair of pliers, I think I got the bend relief cuts dialed in pretty well.

On axle

One of the changes I'm going to make is to just knock off that 90 degree corner than hangs down from the gusset. I'll probably just make it a 45 and call it a day. I'm also adding a little width to the top of the gusset and in turn adding a few degrees of bend, this should allow for more weldable contact area based off of how my 1st shot ones fit.

Here's the new truck:

Got my front axle ripped out last night and started grinding on it. Going to start fitting up and hopefully weld my truss and C gussets on tonight. Then depending on my motivation I'll start working on relocating my control arm on the driver side so that I can actually get a good shock mount on and not rip it off from making contact with the lower arm when my suspension cycles.

I also drew up a quick release fire extinguisher mount the other day and sent that out to the laser as well so I should have it in time for the bump and hustle race at Bundy on the 18th.
