We turned in our minivan lease. I drove the truck to work today so that after work I would do the brake job it needs. Daughter calls me this morning crying asking why I took the truck. Now mom has to take her to school in the fifth avenue(ghetto cruising beater) which is going to ruin her reputation!!!!!! lmfao

my two year old doesn't even ask for a cell phone. He just takes them when he sees them and calls whoever he wants.

Learned my lesson on locking my blackberry. He manages to use the emergency feature and call 911.....
x2 - I just had this happen with my blackberry last night. Over at a friends house and there 2 year old was playing with my blackberry... I figured it was fine as it was locked. Was fine until I heard the phone ringing. Fun to explain to 911.

Yupp

Dad? All my friends have cell phones why can't I?
Reminds me of my dad...."If all your friends jumped off a bridge....."

Me and my buddy were talking about kids allowances today. Upwards of $75 a week! (Over in Northville). He don't give his kid that, but it's what some kids get.

And in todays society, debit cards work better for some, and you can track where it goes.

Some kids have cell phones, which can be a good idea to find them I reckon.

Kids see you shop, you slide and card and get stuff...so they figure...."Hey...I need one"

So my buddy's daughter tells her dad "You know what I need?"...he figures a new toy or doll or a dog....."what dear?"....."I need a cell phone and credit card"

He says "Oh....you do eh?".....she says "yes...can I have one today?"

I tells ya..........

I don't think I ever cared what car I got picked up in, it was a treat enough to get picked up in a car instead of riding the bus. My friend at that age had a really hot mom named Evelyn and drove a gigantic lifted Expedition, good times.

Should I hi-boy the fifth avenue?

That's too funny Dave. We should find you the "Free Candy" van for you to take her to school in.

When I went to school, we where just thankful for the ride. Usually it was my buddy's mom picking us up in her tricked out Ramcharger. Nothing like a 340 Holley-Injected small block with a lot of fun stuff. Below is a picture on how we found it a few years after they sold it :(
