I am selling my commuter car due to a pending deployment with the Michigan Army National Guard. I bought this car three years ago and have used it to commute back and forth 50 miles a week. I've done several cross country trips with this car and would not hesitate to do another one with it on a moments notice. It's in good shape with a couple of dents and dings, but nothing that effects performance or reliability. Drivers side heated seat works GREAT! Will almost burn your back. Sunroof works. Full sized spare.

There are a few small issues to take note of. The engine mount is bad on the passenger side. I have the engine mount and a new transmission mount for it but have not had the opportunity to replace them and won't be able to before I sell it. This causes the vehicle to vibrate while in drive at a stop, once you raise the engine rpms above 1000 it goes away completely. This is also causing an engine code to be thrown so the check engine light is illuminated.

The other thing to note is that the brake pad light is on, it's not due to the brake pads being bad, it's due to the cable on the passenger side front brake pad being broken. I have brand new pads and rotors for the vehicle but have not had the opportunity to put them on and won't be able to before I leave.

The vw has 240,000 miles on it and starts every time. Recently replaced the battery and very regularly get 40 mpg highway on this vehicle. Extremely cheap to own and would be an excellent first car for a teenager.

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions, would love to find this guy a new home. Price is $4000.
