Default Dana 30, Expl 8.8, '78 4.10 geared 9".. All sold!

A complete 78 Ford Bronco 9" (fullsize, 31 spline shafts, factory 4.10s, drums, posi) that was under my Comanche. About 58k miles on it. About 4k miles on new tapered axle bearings/seals. Somehow I hurt it on the last wheeling trip. The Yoke wobbles a little bit. No idea what happened. But I pulled the yoke off today and I'm confident it's the culprit in the wobble. I found another 9" (with disks and a spool) so I have no need of this anymore.
$140 Sold!

Thanks,
--Pete

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A non-CAD XJ Dana 30 axle. 3.55 gears. Was going to use it for a project, but lost interest. No brakes. The passengers side axle shaft was gone when I got it. The drivers side is there and the Unit bear seems fine. I have a stubshaft and bearing for the passenger side. They came with the axle, but weren't from the axle. And the cover bolts are missing.
$40 SOLD!!!

A 9" housing from a fullsize F-150. The 31 spline shafts and bearings are there. The 3rd member and most of the brakes are gone (drum backing plates are there). Leaf perches were removed. YJ shock mounts were welded on.
$50 SOLD!

Very nice Explorer 8.8. I was hanging on to this for a project but decided it'll never happen, so screw it. 4.10 gears, posi, disk brakes. Brakes and brakelines are in good shape. Very little rust.
$290 SOLD!

Bump for new info.

I pulled the yoke off and I'm confident it's the culprit in the wobble. The pinion shaft looks fine. Needs a new yoke.

You can buy a 'Jeep" yoke for it too. The 9" I got to replace this had a 1330 yoke on it.

The drums aren't on it at the moment, but I measured about 65". It's from a fullsize Bronco.

What kind of posi does the 9" rear have. Did the the rear have a vibration and thats the reason you pulled it?/yoke?

It's the stock Ford clutch posi. No vibrations were ever felt in the truck. The only reason I even noticed was that the dust cover ring thingie (a technical term) popped free when wheeling and it made a ringing noise as it spun around on the way back to the campground. When I crawled underneath to check it out I noticed that the yoke was a tiny bit sloppy. For all I know it could have been like this ever since I bought that old Bronco. I'm not sure I would ever have noticed if that ring hadn't popped off. And if I didn't have another axle already, I'd probably just reassemble it and keep wheeling. I've been keeping an eye on the local pull-your-parts, but 9" axle have suddenly become scarce (isn't that always the case when I'm looking for something in particular).
