Also supported a ban on all FFL dealers (gun stores) within a five mile radius of schools.

Any idea what that means?

Said it before, and I'll say it again.

All of the people that would make excellent presidents are smart enough not to run.

Obama is as Anti-Gun as Hillary.

Gun control an an issue that is a lot broader than what make it out to be.

X2 or 3 or whatever.

Obama got all "gun friendly' after his very revealing off-the-cuff remark about small-town people in the midwest/near south that "cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them".

Obama is an infinitely better extemporaneous (or scripted) speaker than Dubya (no competition), so a remark like this wasn't Dubya-style fumblemouthing, it was introspective.

He's trying to walk the non-committal middle ground gun-wise, because have learned that the gun rights folks bite back hard when challenged.

Another thing I am concered over (and this may not neccessarliy directly reflect the next president, but Obama will NOT help this concern at all) is the plan by the Democrats/Liberals to re-write our Constitution. I have been finding articles to support this here and there. Here is one that illistrates some of the proposals for a new Constitution.

Obama is probably popular for the same reasons Clinton was. He can win a popularity contest which is what people want, not someone who will do the best job even if it isn't popular.

Remember when Clinton went on the Arsenio Hall show? That pretty much summed up how stupid our politics and voting has gotten.

After listening to W's horrid public speaking, I can see the shallow and feeble minded folk falling in love With Obama.

The "celebrity" claim about Obama hits a lot closer to home than he likes.

He has virtually no track record (come on, a partial Senate term?), and his appeal is largely built on personality and charisma (which the man has both of, in spades).

x2.

I'd like a president with charisma and one that can negotiate well, but not at the expense of inexperience.

obama is inexperienced. this will cause him to look to his advisor's for advise. his advisor's will be whoever the dem party and the big financial backers put forward. the president is a front man for whoever can afford to put him in office...

Stockpile weapons, food, water and gasoline. Meet me at the pre-determined coordinates. Let the revolution begin.

Of course, to ensure the continuation of mankind, we must also stockpile ten women for each man.

I read how Obama wants to bad gun stores within 5 miles of schools . . .
I'm pretty sure you can't swing a dead cat anywhere in any city/town/municipality without hitting a school. Where does that leave anyone to legally buy a gun?

Again, any gun law does nothing but hurt the innocent.

In addition, the second amendment was not for sport, food, or self defense against criminals. It was for protection from tyrannous government.

Once again, I like Hombre.
