condition? used.

leaks? probably.

but only a fool would put a used axle in and not change the fluid (which requires resealing the cover).

trouble to put into a YJ? buy a $130 install kit and it pretty much bolts right in (or scrounge the parts yourself and save some $$$)

You'll have to find where my wife keeps her purse first.

they're used axles. i haven't taken them apart, but they all came out of running vehicles before they ended up in the junkyard. as with any used part, you kind of take your chance when you get one. if it's bad (housing/shafts, etc...) i'll replace it. i have no idea what year they're out of, but they're all explorer axles and they all have disc brakes. i have several left.

please don't ask for pics. it looks like a used ford explorer 8.8 rear axle with disc brakes.

yup, but you'll need to put all the coil, control arm, and track-bar brackets on it...

Would that axle be a bolt in to a 2002 Explorer? Sorry I dont know much about Fords. My Uncle is having a problem with his, Apparently everyone knows about the problem but Ford did not recall them or something.

Anyway, he has a 2002 Explorer. Open real. with 3.73 gears. I am wondering if I can swap this one in for him.

thanks
