Default 1979 ford f350 questions

i am looking at a 79 350. it will have dana 60s front and rear right? whats the normall or most common gears in these things?

Might have a 70 rear but yes it will have a 60 front, 3:54 or 4:10's

i dont know much about the dana 70. but i assume you can get like 4.88s for it? or no?

up to 5:13's but no 5:38's which you can get for either 60. Much better axle than a stock rear 60.

the truck has a 460 and 44s that will be a bit much on a 60 wont it?

I am guessing a mud truck? A rear 60 is alright but I would get the spindles bored for 35 spline shafts as the 30 spline stockers are the same size as a Dana 44 shaft The front 60 will be fine, maybe some 35 spline stubs down the road.

um no dd and trail truck. ha kinda. i do like to play in the mud. sorry have maby a few more questions. if i ran 4.88s or 5.13s would the pinion head be to small and risk breakn? i dont claim to be an easy driver.

Happens, run 40's easier on axles and better for not getting tickets.

haha great. glad i have a nike for those nice warm days. depending on gears it shouldnt be to bad. and if i keep my foot out of it.

If stock, axles will be 60s front and rear, either 4.10s or 3.54s. The one I owned had 4.10s
