Bringing this back up. the shotgun now looks like this one.

I added a speedfeed IV stock and forearm. the trigger group has an upgraded heavy carrier dog follower spring, a heavy sear to give it a 8 pound trigger pull, and heavy police magazine spring. the chamber and bore have been polished. this gun is better than new, and the armorer that showed me how to do these mods sells this exact gun for 525 dollars plus tax and xfer fee. i have ran about 50 rounds through this gun test firing it. it fires every time and works smooth as butter. i want another ar15, so i am sacrificing on this.

What are the differences between the 870 tactical and the 870 pohlice? I've got my heart set on a marine magnum but the tactical might be more in my price range..

http://www.remingtonle.com/shotguns/870.htm those are the police shotguns. i have been learning how to modify these from a certified Remington armorer who build leo/swat/military shotguns. the difference between a 870 express and a police model is the trigger guard, a few basic components, and the price tag. the police models have a cast aluminum trigger guard, and this soaks up oil. dust then clings to it, causing a gummy build up. the tactical is a "police" model, but with a 14" barrel. a 14" barrel is a nfa class 3 item, needing a 200 dollar tax stamp.
the shotgun i am selling is a 870 express, but i have modified it to have the same internal components as a police model. the only difference you will notice is the price.
