Default Stealing a Dodge Ram

I got a question about stealing a dodge ram pick up and it's possible some of you know how to do it .

Here's my story :

Monday morning I was sitting on my couch putting my shoes on about 6: 50 am , I have a large window which I can see my driveway ect. and I see a younger Black guy walking up my drive, I'm thinking geeze it's early to be delivering flyers plus some of the flyer guys like to take any empty bottles my kids may leave around the porch so I stood up just incase I had to yell at him . Well he gets to my drivers door of the truck and looks in the window then trys the door , at this time I only have one shoe on and the other is not tied plus my pants are undone as i did not tuck in my shirt yet so I quietly unlock the front door (it's only 10 ft. from house door to truck door ) and I jump out on the porch screaming and this dude jumps about 2 feet in the air and runs like a gazelle to a truck waiting in front of my neighbors , I did not notice right away but there was another would be car theif on the pass side of my truck who also ran like the wind to the waiting get away truck .

Now I'm looking for anything I can use as a weapon to "protect myself" and just my luck the kids picked up all the toys the night before so I was semi shoeless holding my pants with one hand and calling 911 with the other while half assed running to get close enough for my bad eyes to read the plate on the truck and then you know what these clowns did ....they had the nerve to shout F you you M F er What !!! I'm not the SOB trying to steal someone elses property and I'm the M F er ?.

I guess what I'm looking for is .... how quick could this kid break in my truck , start it and back out the driveway in daylight 10 ft. from the front door of my house . I don't think he had balls because He should have stood in defense rather than run .

The 911 operator said "did they get in your truck ", "what color is your truck"

Shouldnt she be a little more concerned what color the truck is that's speeding away from my house!!!!

I have put my violent temper away in my closet years ago but guess what I got it out and oiled it up real nice and pretty

I keep a digital camera with me or near the door at all times. When I see something suspicious I use my tele-macro lense and take pics before anyone sees me. I just wish I would have done that the day I saw the kids checking out our dirt bike and quad. The next day they were gone. The dirt bike and quad, that is.

I guy at work had his ram stolen from our lot. we watched it on the security camera after he couldn't find it in the lot. It took the thief about 1 minute 30 seconds. to take it.

Depending on the year of your truck- some are easier than others. I can get in in just under 10 seconds ( I worked at dealership and salesman were always locking the keys in them). If you have a SKIM key (it's grey) they won't be taking the truck with out it, just everything inside or bolted to it.

Big problem is if I try to use my Constitutional rights as an American to defend my property the Democrate tree huggers will have me locked up .

I just learned first hand that saying what to do is much simpler when your not in that situation , I'm quite sure had I caught the culprit he would have felt years of bottled up anger in every hit to his Knappy head.

I no longer trust anyone unknown to me who enters my property ...unless it's Ed McMann carrying baloons and a huge check

I have fired off several Claymores in my past life as an insurance salesman for Uncle Sam and I don't think you would want your hand that close to the business end .

As with many vehicles, all you have to do to get in is pull the top of the door open enough at the a-pillar (with your bare hands) to slip a wire hanger through the door seal to push the door lock switch. Many thieves don't even bring wire hangers, as the radio antenna works even better since its stiffer.

I wouldnt even trust Ed McMann, he'd probably try stealing the check back from you, fall & break his neck again and sue you

Yes it is a hand. I believe that picture is from a movie. The person disarms the claymore. I think the movie was Sniper but don't quote me on it.

FOX channel 2 also showed how to steal an 02-05 ram on the 11 O'clock news one night. So now more people know how easy it is to steal them. (and part of the reason 06 plus trucks have completely different wiring)

You do not have a right to defend property.

You do have a right to defend yourself or another from severe injury or death.

I remember that south park.

Yeah I would figure some way out to park it behind or around somthing that way they cant get to it, or at least get a good alarm that way it will slow them down a little bit, or set up a video camera to record the truck in the driveway when your not up, or around.
