Default Places to stay along western Michigan

I plan on taking a ride to Grand Haven and staying there for a day or so. Then maybe up just north of Muskeegon for a stop. But I need some idea's on some very nice places to stay along the water, like Bed and Breakfasts or nice hotels and stuff like that. I have no clue, so any help is appreciated (staying south of Traverse).

I will ask for a few names tomorrow of where my family stays when them come to town, what is your price range? I know of a few killer B&B's on the lake but can get kind of pricey.

Right now, I don't care, just some nice places to get romantic with the ol'lady after a nice scenic ride.

Even though its south of where you're looking, Saugatuck is pretty sweet. It's not all fags like everybody tends to think.

Here's agood reference.

Pentwater is a nice stroll between the peer/beech and the business/antique district. Pretty quiet but scenic.

So this isn't an offer for someone here to stay with you at a bed & breakfast? Drat. I got nothin' to offer then.

There is a really nice B&B right across from Grand Haven State Park. I believe it is pretty fairly priced too.

I always stay in south haven. There is a little hotel/motel place on the water just south town on the road that runs next to the lake. Not super fancy but pretty cool with some good views. South haven is a little smaller and has a couple good restruants and shops to make her happy.

My aunt's mother and father-in-law started and subsequently sold each of these places in South Haven. They're all supposed to be really nice. May be farther south than you want though.

Yelton Manor

Carriage House at the Harbor

Inn at the Park

Also, I don't know of any specifics, but Ludington has a lot of nice B&Bs, and the beach is a thousand times better than down south.
