Default 1994-2003 7.3L Powerstroke . . . I finally installed the TW chip

What a breeze!! I've had it for almost 2 weeks now but didn't have the time to install it. The install went flawlessly and all I can say is WOW!!

I didn't think that I could smoke my tires by just hammering the throttle . . . the smoke setting is scary!! I don't think I'll be using it much but it produced a 30' burnout with just the pressing of the gas and I actually let off the throttle after that 30' I think I'll do it one more time just so I can put a video up of it

The daily setting is awesome for running around.

The econ is good on the highway when you get to the speed you want and set the cruise. It's a complete dog but I guess that's what it should be.

I haven't towed yet but I'm sure my tow setting will be kick *** and

The street setting is kinda cool but I think I should have had a heavy tow burned instead due to the pep of the daily. I don't think I'll ever use it.

And can't wait to use the high idle this winter!

so my chip consist of

1. Daily
2. Econ
3. Tow
4. Street
5. Smoke
6. High Idle

I'm heading down to Harlen over Labor day and I'll have the jeep on the trailer and the camper in the back so I'll give you guys some updates with some MPG's as well.

You have an EGT gauge, right? Watch your temps towing with any chip.

I can't remember what trans you have, but I use my high idle setting in my manual truck for backing up on a grade or any time my short attention span might cause a stall.

Yup, I have the boost and EGT.

Thanks for that tip on the high idle setting when backing up

I would be interested in the MPG you get on a daily basis with the chip just normal driving. I had thought about buying a diesel since it gets better mileage than the jeep and I would have it for towing. Then I would throw in a chip that would help up the mileage even it it did cause it to be a dog.

I'm heading down to the in-laws friday morning and plan on running the whole way at 65mph cruise on the econ setting. I'll have updates. I usually get 18mpg running at 65 now so hopefully that'll improve.

I also have the TW chip, but on a 94 OBS F250. I see 21 mpg empty if I stay under 2000 rpm cruising (about 66 mph).

I have
1-stock
2-econo
3-tow
4-extreme

With my mods, I rarely come out of econo, even when I am towing. I will bump to tow setting when I hit a steep hill that I have to gain speed on, mainly in Canada. Sometimes I will use it on the Z-bridge if I dont want to downshift.

I've put it in extreme 3 times... one of them wass on accident. It is certainly extreme... too much for me but it sure does dump some soot

took about an hour to instal on an OBS. Had to remove the driver side front inner fender, unbolt 2 retaining bolts, pull the ECU out, clean the terminals, plug in the chip and route the wiring for the knob, then reinstal.

With mine on econ I can barley gain any speed at all. It is hilly here and that might be the reason. I'm on the daily setting unless I've got the cruise on and then it's on the econ.

really? I can keep a constant speed going over the Z bridge in econ mode pulling a 10,000 lb parachute staying in 5th gear. If I have to accelerate up a hill I have to either downshift or bump to tow mode or my EGTs will skyrocket.
