Default 1997 Ford Ranger 2wd prerunner-ish

Looking to possibly sell my ford ranger, it have put 1000 miles on it since I bought it in Nov. and its too nice of a truck to sit in my driveway. Alot of work has been done (mostly cosmetic, some preventative maintanence) since I got it, I just don't use it. My plan was for a V8 prerunner, but I am going back to school to help get a better job, so it just sits now. Heres some specs, any questions, ask away.

97 Ranger -2wd -3.0l V6 -5 speed manual -201k ish miles (mostly highway, it was owned by a company for its first years of life) -manual window and locks -gray interior 60/40 bench seat, lots of maintanence record- runs great, needs nothing, has new fiberglass fenders front and rear (3.5 front and 4.5 rear) painted black (was red) new 33-12.50-15 bfg ATs and american racing mohave teflon wheels (15x8) skyjacker front coils and nitro shocks, flipped shackle rear, full size spare tire and wheel, and a ton of other small things here and there. I drive it daily whenever my car runs out of gas, so it is very reliable and I would say DD ready (never been an issue since I bought it)

Fair Warning : You get lots of stares and people talking to you about it when you drive it, it can get old having the same conversation with somebody new every day you pull it out of the garage and drive it.

Asking 1k less than I have into it. $4200

Located in Rockford MI, 15 miles north of Grand Rapids.

After the wheels amd tires:

I have a bunch more recent pics, but they are huge and i am having a hard time resizing them, so I sent them to a friend to make them small, so please bear with me.

I forgot to add, but my mt bike crew and I do need and expidition type vehicle, so I may consider a trade for something along the lines of a newer cherokee or subaru wagon or vehicles of that nature.

I considered it, but I really think we need a 4 door vehicle. 3/4 of us are 6ft+ tall, so we need easy access. Thanks anyway.

I should have some better, more recent pics later today.

Here are a couple more recent pics. I am going to put a modified stock bumper on the front so there would be no legal hassles for driving on the street.

Fenders are Fiberwerx, shipped straight to me from cali.

The paint and body work was tackled by a friend and his father. The old bedsides were cut and replaced with fiberglass, but the rest of the bed remains. The paint is not perfect by any means, but look seriously nice and was done right. The truck shines nice in the sun, and looks wicked.

I am not even joking about people stopping you and talking to you about the truck, it happens to me constantly when it gets driven. Number one question "Is that a toyota?", and this is from some car guys too. Its a real head turner. Nobody knows what to make of it.

Last year for the I-beam.

This design is one of the most capable long travel options, check out places like camburg.com or dezertrangers.com or search for vids on places like youtube to see what they are capable of.

Clean looking truck you have there, but I'll have to pass. If I go the jeep route again, I would like a 97+ xj or tj because I still have parts in my garage that will work for them. Thanks anyway though. I'll still take cash if you interested too!!!

Looking for a ranger, just sold the Chevy. What does this truck get for gas mileage?

Right now it still has the stock 3.73 rear gears, so it only knocks down 12-16 ish, but I have an explorer rear axle with 4.10s that I will include for a little extra $$ that should help get the mileage back into the high teens to low 20's again. To be honest, I have only put a little over 1k miles on it since I bought it in november, and I have been to the gas station maybe 3 or 4 times tops, so I am not really too sure.

Sounds tempting, but I am really looking for a 97+ xj for its few upgrades. Thanks anyway though.

Bump again.

Anybody with a 97+ xj, I'm willing to consider trades. I don't mind stock or modified, as long as its clean and the mileage is not outrageous, I'm game.
