I must say a SBC with headers up through the hood sounds really good at high RPM's then the crash afterwords hurts bad.

was the ball-less hitch used as an additional strap point on the dyno?

the one picture of it on the dyno shows a strap heading up at a pretty sharp angle.

I'll join those voting to forgo both options, and put a single sewer pipe on it in the stock location with a slash cut exit. *shrug*

I like the way that stacks look, but if you are towing anything, the grunt from the motor (especially the way that fords sound, like crap) will drive you insane.

Those stacks look stupid. I like stacks on duallies, but those are hideous. Stacks on your truck would look pretty dumb to me as well. Get a nice 5" pipe under there and forget it.

IM NOT CHANGING anything about either exhausts from the pics.
im either going to buy the first set of pics ( stacks ) or the second set of pics ( duals ) but they will be bent and look EXACTLY like in the pics..

heres set 1 stacks

heres set 2 duals

and the truck it will be going on incase you dont know.

thanks!
oh btw!!! im going to leave this run all weekend... monday i order..
which will it be??????????
Im was kinda in the same boat as you are as to what exhaust to get for my 02 Super duty. I think stacks are cool but after being in Hacks truck, i f'n hated them. I like the idea of duals but didnt see a benefit to run them other than just for looks. I have thought about a modified system where i'd have duals and a 4" turbo back, being split and controlled via a 4" electric exhaust cut out but dont feel like spending a grand on exhaust. In the end i went with a 4" turbo back from MBRP, hope to have it on by the end of this week.

you should run a hybrid of 4 stacks and 2 sets of duals. the stacks should be penis shaped.

haha, now that got me thinking. Really would be cool and different to do a church pipe organ exhaust.

From a guy that bought a truck with stacks:

I am actually planning on using the full bed space of the truck therefore I am removing the stacks for a single exhaust. With stacks you cannot put a camper or anything on.

That being said it all depends on what you want. If you want functionality go with exhaust, if your going for looks stacks. Hell buy me a straight exhaust and come get mine.
