found this in a random photo search on jeeps......anyone ever seen one??
from a cj-6 i do believe...

Perkins maybe? I thought there was a diesel offering back in the day. But what do I know....

Jeep did a diesel in the 60's I believe. Very limited production

They actually did one earlier than that (late '40s or '50s, IIRC), too.

THere was a perkins diesel... think it was a 3 cyl..

There is a couple Perkins CJ6's up in the NE I know of, but the guy won't sell

Most went to export I believe, CJ5's also got them for export. Not many in the US.

I found a 4cyl deisel in a CJ5 at a junkyard once, but I figured it was swapped in. Could of been factory I guess.

2 years, 86 and 87 for the US market. XJ had it for the 85/86/87 model years. Someday I'd like to own one. Just for the novelty of it.
