Default Need help with warn......

powerplant dual force 9500 winch...... I can't seem to reel in the cable..... The light indicator on the control says it's over heating, according to the owner's manual, but it hasn't been used at all today.

I used it all day Sat & Sunday without a problem. Now today, I just wanted to re-spool the cable so it laid flat on the drum. I flipped the gear lever to neutral and pulled about 50 feet of the cable out. I engaged the gears and when I went to wind in the cable there was nothing..... The left button will drive the drum to let out cable but the right button does nothing but flash the light on the control handle.

Is there anyone that is familiar with these winches? Unfortunately, the manual gives no schmatics, no trouble shooting guide, nor repair guide. I've called WARN and all they say is "you're gonna have to send it in." Personally I think that's crap!

Right now the 50 foot of cable is wraped around my bumper to get it out of the way, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

What and where is that? Is there a way to test it?

Not sure, the added mosfets warn put in were specifically to control overheating issues. I have the xd9000i model right before they added them. I believe they are on the solenoid tray under the cover.
