Default T-19 input shaft machining???????

I bought a T-19 trans that has the large input shaft on it and want to get it machined down to jeep specs. I've called Moser, Badlands and a handfull of other shops and nobody will do it. Anyone have any ideas or comments that may help? Open to all suggestions at this point. Thanks, Gordon

Are the shops flat out refusing the work, or are they balking because you didn't mention sending a Jeep input shaft as a cutting reference?

Unless the shops don't do that work anymore, you could get a Ford T19 shaft and just swap input shafts.

Let me know if you need a Jeep T-18 shaft to send in with the Scout shaft. I have an extra trans I can loan you one out of.

And no, I don't really want to buy it back and this problem has nothing to do with why I wanted to sell it. I am really surprised by this and hope its what CornFed said about not having another shaft as a reference.

What motor were you going to use again? I forgot.

Thanks for the offer of the shaft but I have a T-18 shaft to use for a template. I mentioned that I have a shaft to use but they still weren't interested. I'm going to visit some shops next week and see what I can find. Thanks, Gordon

Forgot to mention that I'm using a 302 HO motor from a 89 stang.
