Default new tube doors for my fj-40

making some tube doors for the yota for side protection in a roll and to keep some mud/dirt off. heres what i got done yesterday. next week ill be making the latch system and skinning them. I used 1 5/8 dom for the structural part that might actually keep a rock from killing me in a side roll. and for cosmetics i ran the bottom side with 1 1/4 hrew to keep it tight to the rig and be able to skin the whole door.

I definitly like your rig, I almost bought one before I bought my 71 Bronco.

And I have a question about your roll cage. What size tubing is it?
It looks like 2", I am planing my cage and I already bought a 2" die and have since been contemplating if I want it that big. I was thinking 1 5/8 as an option.

What are your thoughts, I have seen 1 1/2 and it looks too small. Or maybe it was 1.25

i personally in an EB would go with 1 5/8 or 1 3/4 tube. I used 1 3/4 tubing for my chassis.
