I'm going to twisted trails this saturday if you want to send it with Whiterhino. or I'll be around all day friday putting a sweet lift on the wifes liberty. If you send it with Jim be sure to seal it up as good as you can since hes going up friday night and staying up there.

That's a drive by wire. If you get it, make sure you get the pedal, control box and both wiring harnesses.

Food for thought for your swap.

The 700R4 and the 4L60E are prety much the same tranny. GM just re designated it the 4L60 (non eletronic shift) ,then came the 4L60E (eletronic shift).

4= 4 speed
L= lock up
60= capasity 60,000lb (combination of vehicle weight and towing capacity i belive)
E= electonic shift

a 4l60e is a better trans than a 7004r, his engine is already going to have the pcm support and wiring for the electronic trans so there is no reason to take a step back. electronic controlled powertrain components are far superior to the old stuff. just think... if he does it right he can have a 2 position trans calibration that changes shift firmness, shift points and also torque converter lockup points.

someday I'll be running a 6l80 or 6l90 in my vehicle....push button gear changes and converter lockup... it can make any any trans seem inferior once you tune it properly... full auto or full manual with the flick of a button.

you dont need it.... you would need to have 400+ hp to start thinking about a 4l80 and they dont come behind the engines you are looking at. a mildly built up 4l60 will handle the hp that you'll be making after some mods on that engine. once you break 500hp then start thinking about a bigger, built up trans.... for now mild mods to the 4l60 will handle all you can afford to throw at it after making more hp... stock for stock, they work great together and some calibrations will get you the shift kit feeling.
