I guess the tree thing all depends on who's property they are on. If they are on their property, I am having a hard time seeing the problem.

Heck, I don't know what I'd do without my neighbor that lives behind me. I repair, clean , and borrow his trailers, trucks, and excavating equipment when ever I need the stuff. I put fuel in the equipment and trade my labor on cabinet work or building work in return for using stuff. It works out great.

All of our "lots" consist of 12.5 acres 200' wide by 1/2 mile deep. The neighbors behind us put up No Tresspassing signs on our trees about 15' onto our property. I was going to take a Sharpie out there and leave them a note showing where they really should put those signs if they want to be taken seriously.

Everyone's putting those signs up because some kids got some atvs and dirt bikes and they've been running around in the back where none of us can see them from our houses. We can hear them, but not see them.
Farmland fun.
In the fall deerhunters are back there. They even came up behind our pond the first year we were here. I went outside, got in the TJ, turned up my CD player real loud and drove my path until they all left.
A guy I worked with told me he carries his cell phone to the back of his land and has the DNR on speeddial. He's had tresspassers arrested when they're back there hunting. The DNR got a brand new atv and several guns from one guy.

I am one who would bitch about the neighbors but not say anything to them, so I am kinda hypacritical when I say I too suggest just talking with them. Kindly let them know that their culver is probably too small to let the amount of water through that comes through there at times and it will also flood your yard. Just be nice.

If they get assholeish about it, then call the proper people.

Mine.

They drove a dozer along the old farm fence line scraped the weeds and knocked over the tree. Can't figure out what the reason was other than maybe they were checking something out. Our old tractor and backhoe are sitting right there and so is our brand new roto-tiller that we left out under the tree last Sunday.
We have our stuff all under a bunch of trees and tucked in the bushes so it's not out for anyone to see. We don't want to see it, either.

Are the property lines clearly marked? It appears that another of your neighbor is unsure of the line also. Maybe you are the only one who really knows where it is. 12.5 acres has a lot of perimeter to keep track of.

ignore all previous advice.

ingredients:
1. can of gas
2. pack of matches
3. couple of sticks
4. marshmellows
5. hot dogs

instructions: dispense gasoline from bulk container evenly in your desired area. remove match from pack and strike on provided striker strip. place marshmellows and hot dogs on the sticks and enjoy watching their shit burn for your entertainment.*

*this recipe is strictly for entertainment purposes and not to be taken seriously as there will be no good outcome from this stupid advise. it does however offer good thread enrichment.

It's been surveyed and staked. We left our stakes in just 'cause we were not too concerned about pulling them out of the clay.
We've only been in our house 4 years. We've had the property for almost 7.

I get along with everyone. I just haven't actually seen anyone there yet. Just equipment left from the excavators and it went away today just after I got home from my chiropractor today.
The equipment came in Tuesday just as I was leaving to go to work and they were gone when I got home everyday.
Wonder what company they hired - our crew didn't work 9-5. They were here until they finished drinking beer with us around 7 or 8. Then they'd drive back to Applegate and Croswell where they live.

Must be city people moving in.

The women at our town hall told us that we couldn't build our pole barn before we built the house 'cause city folk do that and then just sit in them and drink beer and don't build houses for years after that.
Hmmm.
Steve told them we'll drink beer whether we have a pole barn or not. We had an old garage on the property before we started building so we made sure we sat there out in the open for all to see while drinking beer. The city treasurer lives just a little bit down the road from us and was always watching.

They made us tear it down - options were tear it down or pay $6500 to keep it.

Rumor on our street is (now our street runs from Lk. St. Clair to who knows where in the Thumb) that our "new neighbor" is actually the guy who already lives on the next plot of land and is going in on partnership with his friend who actually own the property and they are creating an arena for horse shows.

As for his little culvert - this is what his back yard looks like after a heavy rain. Guess that won't be happening anymore because he'll have us flooded to the north instead.

We'll have to build a bridge.

I wonder if I can sneak the TJ over to the horse trails.......

You are going to need a snorkle if you are cutting through that pond.
