Its nice that some people are educated enough to see that kind of change isn't good for America, no matter what color you are...

quote from obama ''John McCain's proposal, George Bush's proposal, to drill offshore here in Florida and other places would not provide families any relief this year, next year, five years from now,''

well i guess that makes sense, why do something about it now if its not going to help imediatly, we dont want lower gas prices and oil independance in the future, that would be silly

Good point.

What if we said- Don't worry about carbon emisions, because it won't change this year, next year, or five years from now.

Yeah, they don't want to hear that.

we've done alot to lower carbon emissions, that has nothing to do with this, making gas affordable is not going to magicly change the output of cars and raise their carbon emissions.
im sick of all this carbon footprint, global warming, green living bullshit
the earth is fine, the climate may have changing by 1 degree but the climate goes in cycles over the history of the world if you havent noticed.
i bet it was those damn dinosaurs and their big gas hog suv's that braught on the ice age huh

but what you're saying is, that, if McCain was elected, gas prices would go down? really? are you serious? If you think gas prices will ever go much lower than what they are right now, you need to have your head examined. go out, buy a new SUV, gas will probably get cheaper ;) hahahahhahahahah.

i dont think gas will get cheaper immediatly, but at least he's open to finding a way to lower gas prices (i.e. offshore drilling) instead of just saying, oh well, might as well not do anything about it since it wont help tomorrow.
and wouldnt you want to get your gas from here instead of depending on a foreign country?
thanks for being so optimistic about it, it's people that think like you that are ruining the country, were never going to move forward if ya keep shrugging off the possible solutions because you dont "feel" like it would work

well, since gas prices were quadrupled under a republican president, i'm not going to trust another one to lower them.

not that your statement or the one from me to follow matters at all............

but hasn't the Liberals been in charge of congress since the last doubling of the gas price.

Mike it doesn't matter who is in office anymore, if you honestly think there is any real difference in the two polititical parties, and how it effects gas prices, then CMU has ruined you.
