Scientology

Interesting reading:

http://www.xenu.net/roland-intro.html

"It was started in the 1950s by a science fiction writer named L. Ron Hubbard in fulfilment to his declared aim to start a religion to make money. It is an offshoot to a method of psychotherapy he concocted from various sources which he named "Dianetics". Dianetics is a form of regression therapy. It was then further expanded to appear more like a religion in order to enjoy tax benefits. He called it "Scientology".

Scientoligists are so retarded it's hilarious. If your religion involves a space ship and monsters stealing the souls of native americans... you're an ass

the southpark scientology episode is the best, when they describe the cracked out things that scientology stands for they have a disclaimer at the bottom saying: "Scientologists actually believe this"

what worries me more is the people like actors and actresses promote this stuff on tv and books and the fans of said people get hooked because of influence.

On Drew and Mike right now:

"This guy now claims he has full control of his allergies and claims to be a superior spritually powerful being now that he has reached rank OT-7 in the church of scientology."

haha, it's so funny you should mention Darwin's Theory of Evolution as being full of holes...yup, no holes in Christianity, solid as a rock!

P.S. I'm a catholic who constantly questions his faith, but I'm also a smart ass, so anyway...

Let's nip the evolution vs. creationism discussion in the bud for now. This is a thread about a clearly more convincing religion. If Chef believes it, so do I.

I read somewhere several years ago that L. Ron Hubbard made a bar bet that he could start a new religion. I don't know if that was at all true, but still thought it was interesting. We should start a First Holy Church of Jeepventists at our house so we can avoid paying property taxes. It may very well have the first altar with rock rails in the world.

Great book! I actually read Lee Strobel's The Case for Christ too. Very solid information.

Another good one is Darwin's Black Box (I am currently reading it). Its very scientific, a little hard for the lay person to understand, but contains valuable knowledge.

i think the brilliantly simple part of scientology is it doesnt underestimate peoples desire to be told they are great, or can buy greatness. If you keep giving money you keep getting closer to god or immortality and greatness.

Weakminded folks get what they seserve when they literally BUY into scientology. It really says allot about anyone who suscribes to the scientology beliefs. I cant look at tom cruise or Travolta since i found out a few years ago they were scientologists, and how crazy scientologists are.

I wish i could get the scientologist mailing list. I got allot of shit i would like to sell those fools, they will buy anything.
