I call BS on that one, but I am sure you are a professional race driver who should have a lane all to himself. Wow, hope you never run me over on my motorcycle on my way to work.

Passing is to avoid people who are going slow, mainly on the expressway and fast paced 2 lane roads, not breaking the law by going 10-15 mph over the speed limit in a res. zone to pass, only to come to an intersection 25 yards up the road

The laws say that you may pass unless otherwise marked no passing zone, permitting the lanes are marked with a dashed line and you do not break the speed limit laws to do so, hence the need to pass someone going to slow. Basically it says use good discretion to make sure the situation is safe enough to execute the pass, and to do so without speeding.

Well it seems you are the " I'm a cop so I know everything" guy.

Why does he need to grow up because he drives fast? Oh that's right. The government picked a speed so that means it is the RIGHT speed. God knows the government would never keep the limit too low so you can grab a case of donuts sit in your car and make $$$ for them.

Sure I understand that there is a safe speed and usually doing more than 5-10 mph over the limit is unsafe. How about when you are the only car on the road in the middle of corn fields? Who am I hurting by doing 85?

Not that it matters but I have been driving 50 - 60 + hours a week for over 10 years.

And thanks for all your hard work, seriously.

Considering it says "Posts: 1", that's probably why you've never seen him make a post on here, ever.

Dick. You are only holding up the pussies. I have no problem passing you on the shoulder. You dont affect me at all.

Not everyone has all day to get where they are going. Some of us actually have a schedule to be on and places to get to. I am not asking you to speed. Why do you fell the need to be a prick and block the road?

So I take it you have to be a cop to speed? Seems like I'm always getting passed by a cop with no lights on going at least 10 over. Is that ok because its a cop? Hell just the other day I had a cop pass me then cut me off hit his brakes and get off on the exit. Never turned his lights on or anything.

He is a cop so he may have had a valid reason. Or not.

That doesnt bother me. I look at it as one of the perks of the job, it doesnt seem they get enough. You know you would do it if you were in their shoes.

Did you hear that in Seattle they are ticketing anyone on the e way in the left lane that is not passing someone regardless of speed. I think that's sweet.

Yep, I'm speeding 10 over and someone decides to follow at an unsafe distance I'm doing what the says and doing onto others as they do unto me (I know, I switched that around, I don't care). point is, don't be a prick.

and I do believe on a 2 lane road you can only pass 1 car at a time.

My fault. I missed the tailgated part. I thought this was a hobby. Sorry.

I am usually the guy that pisses everyone off by slowing down for a truck when they need to get over, even if I am next to them. The line of cars behind me usually dont like that.

I drive fast but for the most part courteous.

You totally didn't answer either of my questions and rambled on about things I never even addressed, but okay.
