Default New Child Booster Seat Law July 1st

In case you're not aware of the new law, kids under 4'9" or seven years and younger must be in a booster seat.

Here is a video that our state has produced as a Public Service Announcement:

yeah, its easier to mandate people buy booster seats than it is to make auto companies put a belt shortener into the harness like the old days.

We have begun to issue tape measures to our officers. That way they can yank the kids out and measure them for the correct height of 4'9". If the kid is 4'7" you're getting a ticket. Sorry.

Also, we are issuing portable lie detectors to the cops so they can tell if the kid is really 8 years old like you're saying. If the kid fails the polygraph, you get the ticket.

I once knew a girl who was 4'11". The top of her head was flat enough to hold a can of beer without spilling even during the most vigorous of head movements. Her ass was so big though that she couldn't have fit into a booster seat.:tonka:

the old people that look through the steering wheel?!?! :tonka:

i think it's stupid. i think i'd have to get one for my boy. he's going to fit into a booster like that kid in the video fits into the child seat.

then how many people have ONE car...? mom takes 'em in the morning, i pick 'em up, so for convenience TWO boosters? i guess that's one way to boost our economy...

I'm getting pissed off just thinking about it. More government intrusion.

I let my 2 year old sit on my lap and act like he's driving at the local park. Back in the day that was normal shit, I imagine I'd go to jail for that now. My kid is doing the same shit I was doing growing up. I am not going to raise him like some sort of little faggot like the government wants me to. He's a boy, not a little sissy bitch.

Why is this such a bad thing? These are KIDS. The way people drive these days, we should all wear helmets. (just kidding, mostly) Kids don't have the ability to protect themselves from bad parents. How often do you see stupid people carting a car full of kids around with no car seats. One accident and no more kids. Adults should have the right to determine what is safe for themselves, but unfortunately there is NO IQ level required to make kids. Stupid people do stupid things and aren't capable of protecting their own children. That leaves it up to the state to step in. I don't like government interfering in my life at all, but in this case I think it is a wise move. Seatbelts aren't designed for kids. Thus the booster is needed to protect them. But, idiots won't spend the $40 to buy one because it costs money and that kid won't ever get hurt, right?

I think the libs in our society/government want ALL of our kids to be sissy little faggots. That's how Socialism works. In case you didn't know it, our kids also get brainwashed in school to accept hippy, liberal ideas that you probably wouldn't approve of. Then we all wonder why Johnny is a little turd. Johnny is a turd because Big Daddy Government turned him into one and taxed us in order to do it.

Did I really type that? Ummmmmm......what I really meant to say was "It's a law we can live with and it could save lives. It's what's best for the kids."

so, rather than use all this legislative power to make auto companies make a minor adjustment to the seat belts to fit kids and adults, it's better to make a law requiring people to spend on average $50-$200 for a booster seat for EACH child and ticket them if they didn't spend the money they didn't have in the first place. Not to mention child care facilities nor aid to put seatbelts on all buses which has yet to be accomplished. Yeah, good law.

No, if we had a little socialism in our government, we might actually have some money put into our energy sector instead of letting hippies kill any new power plants through litigation.

Nope. You have proven repeatedly and beyond any doubt that you are a complete and total fucking idiot. You can't handle raising dogs or children. Or is that against the prophecy...

You're reading it wrong, and that's an asshole comment to make on your part. I didn't say i let him do anything he wants or that he does whatever the fukc he pleases.

Rule of thumb-don't comment on other peoples family, especially if you don't know them.
