Default starting to remove some "problems" around here.

Muddinguy banned by clarkstoncracker for 1 Day (until) April 18th, 2006, ~01:00 PM 1 Day, 0 hours for: Vulgar language in signature, making stupid posts, and constantly causing with others

Its been getting alittle out of hand.

Let muddinguy be a warning for the 4 or 5 people who just cause . This site is getting big enough where its starting to be a big annoyance.

Thanks

see jeepfreaks post

Somehow, 1300 other members find it necessary to keep things at a reasonable vulgarity.

as much as I agree, there have been discussions on vulgarity in and out of our legal system for over 2 centuries.

now, this isn't a site that is subject to the whims of the courts, or public opinion, only the owners.

some feel the need to ask the owner what specifically is not allowed.

It's probably not a bad idea to even have a short list of what's not allowed - or, hell we have had quite a bit of text filtering going on with certain domain names being edited out automagically by the site. Why not extend it to profanity/vulgarity?

Seems like it would make at least part of the admins' job easier. After that it would just be non-textual content, and discretionary moderation based upon trolling, and flame-baiting.

:dunno:

Lets not try to over-regulate the site by adding more than the common sense rules. Just think about something before you post it... We don't need this place to be ruled by the ideal of "what if my __yr old daughter is looking over my shoulder."

Common sense.. An occasional f-bomb, who cares, we are mostly adults.

But when you constantly spew out vulgar language, especially in a signature that is attached to every post, it is not needed.

If you really need an example of what IS NOT going to fly, here is what muddinguys signature was, (and was the last straw)

Hey Kelly,

What if it didn't have the f-word? Would it be kosher then?

Not starting things, just curious

I would of just pm'd him like I have done to other people asking them to change it.

Why cover this site in that language? It makes no point.

Kelly does not mess around when it comes to good grammar.

One day I said, "Yo K-Dogg, let me axe you a question"
Kelly hit me really hard in the stomache and said "it is ask, you moron". I have not axed him a question since that day.
