Default Just baught the Cobra 75WXST CB for my Jeep

Anyone have experience with them? They are the ones with the box that you hide somewhere under the dash, and all the controls and display are right on the mic.

My dad owns like 30cb's since he has been a truck driver for 30 years, but they were all far bigger than I wanted (I hate clunky looking stuff). With this, I will just have the mic visible, while the guts will be hidden inside the dashboard somewhere.

Also got a 3ft adjustable firestik, and will be getting the cable tomorrow along with either purchasing or fabricating a mount to somehow mount it at the rear drivers taillight and still look good.

The radio has some decent features, and you can listen/talk to two channels at once.

I really like mine. But you should get an external speaker. You will so much happier with it. I zip tied the "box" behind the glove box to get it out of the way.

Goona tie it into my audio interface that I build to tie the Sirius Sportster 5, iPod touch, and an aux port into the factory cd changer input to get cd-quality sound. Im gonna set it up so it will slightly mute, and mix the CB audio into whatever is currently playing.

I liked mine. Got to switch it between the truck and the jeep easily. Power wasn't the strongest, but it did just fine. X2 on some sort of extra speaker.

It is good for a small cb. External speaker is definetly a must, the speaker on the handset sucks.
