Honda CB 550, got questions

So who knows about Honda Motocycles? I was looking at one, ran great and all (1976), but there was a couple of tubes from the carbs that arn't hooked to anything that are spewing gas when the gas tank valve is turned on? Is this like some overflow tubes? So the floats aren't setting the needle vavles? What gives? I need to know, cause I am interested in the bike.

the hoses run to the bottom of the bike and are not hooked to anything those are the overflow tubes. if so and there is gas flowin out, the floats are stuck open you will need to take the float out and make sure something is not stuck in there or if the float is bad. that is a 4 cyl with 4 carbs what carb is stuck. those bikes are really easy to work on and good runnin bikes. and you can get parts for them many people on ebay who part these bikes out, or an oem site like bikebandit.com works good for me

i just got done fixing a cb750 one of the carbs was doing the same thing and a few other problems.

no if you want pipes all bikebandit will have is OEM if they even stock those. i only use bike bandit for hard to find stuff like carb parts and stuff like that or if someone on ebay doesent have it i will check there. if you want aftermarket pipes ebay had some drag pipes for those old hondas pretty cheap.

Try here for parts too: http://oldbikebarn.com/ They list just about everything for my '77 GS750

Those old CB Hondas are great bikes. They put up with a ton of abuse!
