Can any one tell me if a 231 t-case from a 87-96 4 cyl. yj will work in a 99 4 cyl Tj. I onther words is it a direct bolt in? Thanks

if the spline count is the same, then yes, it will bolt in. the only external differences are the vacuum switch for 4x4 vs. an electric one on the tj (they interchange), the shift arm is up on the tj, down on the yj (just switch them) and the front yoke is a cj on the tj, std. on the yj (also just switch them)
