Default My Twin Turbo "Old Jeep"/Early Bonco build... Updated 8/24/2008

I don't post much, but I read here daily. Thought I would show you guys my build so far.

It's a 76 Bronco with a Kentrol fiberglass body. Stock width Dana 60 ff rear 3/4 ton Dana 44 front. Swapping in a twin turbo EFI 5.0 with a 4r70w trans and a NP205 case...

When I bought it about a year ago..

Test fitting the engine and trans... Upper spring perch was in the way of the compressor housing...

Debated on coil overs, but it didn't fit the budget so I decided to move the perch down instead. Went with an 11 pack 5.5" Deaver spring in the rear and a 3.5" Deaver spring in the front. Lowered the perch 2.5". Turbos have plenty of room now.

Got the lift done next is shock mounts and steering, then I need to mock up the front clip so I can try to fit the radiator and intercooler etc. Plumbing will be a nightmare for sure...

As it sits now. 35" Boggers on 16x10 Classic II's

Gonna try to do a little of everything with it... It should be pretty calm and driveable at low boost levels...

Please do not call it a J**p anymore.

There are J**ps and there are Broncos and they are nothing alike except they both like to climb and play in the mud.

OK so they are kind of alike but I have never heard anyone call a J**p a Bronco.

I called it an old Jeep because every time I go anywhere in it I hear "hey thats a cool old Jeep". Made a little more progress this weekend...

Got the 205 in and built the transmission crossmember and transfercase mount...

Also got the new core support built and the front clip mocked up...
