Since I'm bored, I'm going to chime in just to say that this is stupid.

Shit's really not much different from place to place. Most are dirty and have dirty people working there. All are relatively cheap and all of them are about as unhealthy as they come.

Mega Classic in Flint on Corunna and Linden is the cleanest. Everything is 50's style, white/blacj checker floor, stainless steel kickplates on the bar, white walls, and smells like food, not smoke. Free WiFi and a corn-beef omellette. The coneys taste the same as most, but you can get Detroit or Flint style.

The best coneys I ever had was when I dropped some springs for UP_Roktoy in Flint, and right before he got there me and a friend scarfed down coneys from Capitol Coney Island on Bristol and Atherton. Coneys with onions and mustard at 8am.... sweet!

Hollywood Diner at I-75 and Corunna Rd is like an upscale coney island. Doesn't make sense. Well priced food, tasted good, but the place was designed with upscale metro-trend fashion sense. But they didn't serve coneys.... dumbasses.

What is "Flint style"? Do they stab you first?

Oh, and I change my vote - Island Coney Coney Island (Grosse Ile) FTW!

Clean, non-smoking, and excellent coneys.

Sanitized suburban coneys? Ack. A coney island restaurant's decor should parallel the menu's nutritional values.

This is why Layfayette is #1 in my book. You know your cheating cardiac arrest with every item you select from the menu. The hole-in-the-wall location, dirty bar stools, ancient tables, puke green walls, '70s-era menu with mismatched letters, dirty Lebanese workers are all contributing factors to the true Detroit coney experience. A trip to the mens room downstairs requires descending a narrow staircase and navigating around the prep cooks. I've been served beer well after 2AM on several occasions at Layfayette.

Flint style has ground hot dogs in it, and is less liquidy. Allegedly, this style originated at Angelo's. I must say I'm a fan. Although there's nothing wrong with Detroit style either.

There are only 3 good things about Flint; Vernor's, Halo Burger, and Angelo's
