Default Two Nylint's down, two to go. :(

So, I get done doing some custom suspension work, and adding limit straps, and I go for a test drive to see how she flexes on the rocks, and sure enough I drive off a cliff, it flips upside down, and the antenna grounds across the circuit board and frys it.

Anyways, heres one of my stock ones flexin: (notice the rear tire 2" off the ground)

Here is the one with the fried circuit board, but it has some flex. :tonka:
(I still have about 2" of flex until the rear tire comes off the ground.)
I had to add limit straps to the front and back to stop the shocks from seperating..

When I get back in town, If you take the circuit board out, I might be able to repair it for you, as long as its not a custom IC or something that died..

I just read that thread and figured it out :tonka:

I was crawling rail road tracks and the stacked extra rails across the street from my house... Then i heard a train horn, I hadda run and get it Though it crawls the steel beams well, I could have used more clearance or flex

yea trime about a 1/16th off the shock shaft and shock tube.. But be aware this will make your shocks separate A LOT

www.rccrawler.com has a whole section on Nylit modding

Look at the pics..

I put some traingulation in the shocks, but as soon as I did that, the shocks were comming apart everytime it flexed.

So then I added limit straps (fixture chain) on all four corners, and that corrected that.

I did mount the shocks without the dual battery setup though.. and with the added weight of both batteries, the shock angles were not providing enough resistance. When I do the suspension today on another one, I'm going to lessen the angle.
