Yes, I'm sure it could be debated and there are rigs out there that would feel they want to play on it. But it seemed the wise thing to do at the time. Even with this closed, I'll guarantee you that every single person who attended found a spot where they said "I couldn't do that".

Ask Bones and Chevotass:tonka:
I gotcha. I trust your judgement. I was asking because I was curious if it was going to be one of those deals where the owner saw a roll and freaked out and it was going to harm the chances of being able to convince him to continue to make difficult obstacles or even close it off to fullsize vehicles because of fear of injury/liability/etc.

Sure, it's a fair question. My thoughts at the moment were that we DIDN'T WANT THE OWNER TO FREAK OUT and therefore show him that we are conscientious rather than a group that is a bunch of care free red necks. (well, maybe Shawn:tonka:) Deano rode with me up impossible hill and he said "you scare the shit out of me" as he was laughing. Although he will do 100 ft jumps on his bike off a ramp, we need to keep in mind that he flat out doesn't understand our sport well enough yet. And as a side note, he had a guy break a collarbone on the track Saturday.

That's why I said I trust your judgement. Probably a good thing there wasn't an injury, and he was probably impressed with the way the group came together and took care of everything. I assume the hill will re-open at the next event for caged rigs or something of that nature?

Ask Bones and Chevotass:tonka:
roping it off was a smart move. I would have done the same. A lot of people probably wanted to run the climbs, but that is life.

There were plenty of other spots for them to play and get denied. Myself, Chevotass and DJ gave it hell in one spot, and no one made it without using the bypass, although Nick came pretty damn close.

Thanks for the support.

I worked like hell on Friday at that spot & did the same thing. Front went up easy and I almost got the rear once. You can thank me for the big holes.:tonka: Even taking the bypass is a fun climb.

Jim you should build a rollcage for your windshield so this sort of thing doesn't happen.....

That or look where you are going instead of staring at the camera

It's amazing what a root will do when you are pushing 8" of dirt.

Those pictures look great, that place has really improved since last winter. Are there any plans to continue with more rocks and obstacles between now and september?
