True, but an engine out of a lightning? He's going to end up spending way too much money on a $2,000 truck.

IMO- get something that's better on gas , since you re into ford then get a ranger4x4 .. gas price still going up
no sense of driving that thing everyday since you re not going to haul stuff around . i still remember my first truck .. at age 16 $1 a gal was alot to keep the tank full

easy tiger.

I'm pretty sure his age question wasn't related to you being excited about buying a 14 year old, 2wd truck, but more as an explanation for the various things that get posted under your screen name.

Im not sure if thats the ugliest.... the samon tan is pretty bad.
I drive the exact same truck for deliveries at work... great tow rigs! Should move that buggy with ease. Congrats on your first vehicle!

Sorry about any previous comments that were a little mean. I still want to race the buggy though,

looks like a good first vehicle vwman. I wouldnt listen about the color or the gas milage and what you should or shouldnt do too much. I would keep it up and get a few years out of it and not go the lightning engine route though. I mean go for it if you have money burning a hole in your pocket :gman: Good first truck, not to bad at all for a 15 year old that bought it him self

Heres some advice (you may not want to hear cause your excited about the new wheels) lots of guys throw tons of money at there first real car, and regret it a few years later ... keep it as your daily driver, tow rig, etc. Keep it clean and reliable and get a few years out of it. This will help you save some money for something that is really cool.

And put your money into a vehicle that you can get your money back on when it comes time to sell it.

Nice first vehicle and it will make a good DD and tow rig.

But like Jamiesann said, it is better to think over it a little before putting lots of money into it as you could put it into something that will be worth more in the end. With your lawn service by the end of the summer you should have some money you could spend on getting something else to put money into and then also still have your truck to drive. That is the best way to have it. Hell, depending on what kind of second vehicle you want and how much cash you have I might have one for you.
