I'm not a paint guy, so I may get corrected here, but you don't gel coat over paint, you clear coat over paint.

Most glass boats are gel coated as far as I know. That's what I was wondering. If they just used straight paint or a gel coating of some kind.

Just curious on how the paint held up on deck.

I misunderstood, I thought you questioned if they gelcoated OVER the paint.

I think it's missing a motor. Nice paint though.

naw motor is off and in the cabin to keep the weight off the back and down in the middle were it belongs. as for paint holding up on deck its all in the prep and primers.. 545 epoxy primer is the shit for sealing gel coat in prep for paint few coats of 545 and I never ever have a problem with paint pealing from heavy traffic plus i have my own proprietary non skid I shoot that will hurt ya if you trip and fall on it

that's what makes it a good thing. I was watching a chick flick this weekend and the main character said something like "or maybe a sailboat is your style, go halfway around the world on less than a gallon of gas..."
