Default Man Church

I am going to help run a man series at my church. I told the pastor we need mandatory BBQ grills at each service. What else would you suggest, outside of skantily clad ladies? Yes I am serious.

I bet Rick Mom's from Mom's motor Sports could direct you to a believer with a monster truck.

Why no ladies? I mean if you want men to pay attention to the message you should have hot women preaching the word. They don't have to be skantily clad, just hot. God made them that way, so it's ok to appreciate his work, right?

Hot women were the only thing I looked forward to, when I had to go to church, seriously. A sausage fest isn't going to attract many men.

I find it disappointing that it took 3 posts before someone said beer.

Well it was one of the first thoughts but then I decided that it was at a church. So firgured it wouldn't be in good in the pastor eye's. Hate to see good money wasted LOL

Interesting you said that, because that is the exact reason I went to church in the first place. My buddy says "dude, come with me to youth group, there are a ton of hot chicks" And the rest, as they say, is history. True story!

So you may be on to something here. I am just trying to think of how I can pitch this to our staff

I think having beer AT church would be tough, but I am cool with extra curricular activities. I have hosted a beer and bible study, and I tried to host an ATF party but it flopped. As a matter of fact, my chuch leadership team has our staff meetings at a local microbrewery.

My other idea was to do a truck build story, but relate it to a person's life instead of just the actual vehicle. A new jeep frame would be the equivalent to a new foundation in a person's life, stuff like that.

A person as an example that treats his wife with love and respect and Loves his kids while being a great father who is a Dad and not a friend of his kids . . . .

I think that would be great in a man series

Use a couple good war movie clips too like Braveheart, Gladiator, Wyatt Earp, 300, etc.

Also, see if you can dig up some video testimonies of tough guys. I know "the Animal" Lauranitis (old wrestler, whoes son plays football at OSU) and his son did a video testimony together. Very manly.

And a potato cannon. You need a potato cannon.

Archery.

If you want, I could PM you my Faince's Dad's number or e-mail. He leads the outdoor men's life group at Resurrection Life Church in Kzoo. He might have some more ideas.
