Myn is currently waiting to be re-assembled from the paint booth. Tryed cutting the sleeves on the shocks to get more articulation but doesn't look like its going to work to good. Other then that waiting for the damn battery to charge..

My son really wants to cut them off.

I thought I bought all the right stuff....Laquer thinner to wipe the plastic, primer for plastic then painted it. It doesn't come off as easy as some of the others sound like, but still will scratch off pretty easy.

I just killed the first battery... it was just torn down and I Just finished painting it... I doubt it will stick well as I used actual automotive paint... exact color match to my YJ

sitting on the newspaper it looks slick.

I wont be doing any mods until my warranty expires... the chassis on these things sound like they break pretty easy.

remodeling the living room anyway

I see your crawler and raise you:

It's gonna be a bad b1tch when I put the finishing touches on it....like mounting the shocks, painting, adding a body, etc. But I think I'm just gonna finish it and sell it. Should be able to get $4-500 for it......that's money that can go into my real Jeep. I'll just use a $50 Nylint to dick around with.

I prepped everything properly.

Just an FYI, IF YOU ARE GOING TO RUN THESE THINGS ON ROCKS OR CEMENT, DON'T BOTHER PAINTING THEM!

:tonka:

I've probably rolled my nicely painted one 40 times on the rocks, and it looks like swampjeeps CJ.

I even used that rubberized undercoating on the bumpers and rock rails, and that stuff just rubs off after a couple hard falls from 4'-5' in the rocks

I just cleaned and sprayed it... and then I will do a few coats of clear... I doubt it will help but i expected it not to hold pain looking at it. That And I had the experience of everyone else 'doing it properly' and it still flaking off
