Got new seats in. Came from an '01 Sunfire. Direct bolt in.

The wife has had back issues and quit riding with me cause it was too hard to get in and out. Kinda' sucks but she bought them and this keeps her wheeling with me.

I bet you have a new reason why she wont join you wheeling after swapping them out. stock seats tear you up. I'm on my second set of PRP's and I'll never not have a suspension seat of sorts in an offroad vehicle. after a day of wheeling you arent worn out and sore all over because the seat held you in place unlike the stockers.

I'd not sell the seats you had just yet.

To each their own...

So far I think they're pretty comfy and it's nice not to have to move the seat back and tilt the wheel up to get out every time. The Corbeau's are better suited for a trail only rig than a DD. I'll still be looking for something in between down the road after the cage goes in, but these will do nicely until then.

After a trip to the cliffs ORP last weekend, I do not regret the swap. Stock or not these are great.

Also got done with upper and lower coil retainers, tie ins for the rear bumper, and got some steel cut to cover the rocker damage. Here's a pic from the run.

Runs out of steam on long hill climbs and sometimes on the highway but other than that it's great. I'll never go back to a manual and I'll be starting a turbo build next year. Still manage the way it is though....

I cured a lot of that on my 4Bangler with the addition of the now discontinued Mopar cam, 4.0L throttle body, and a flywheel counterweight...the weight killed it off idle, but once it was going nothing could slow it down, might be tricky with an auto (I was running a SM420/NP231), but it could be done. Also, make sure your convertor isn't locking up too early, it's a common problem in those trannies.

Funny you should mention that, one of my next projects is wiring a switch for manual control of the converter lockup. 4.0 TB is already done. Electric fan is next.

Got the cage in, just gotta finish bolting it down. Time to take a break from this heat. Also got the rocker plates on. Only put a couple bolts in for now but it's just to cover damage so I may leave them like that.

Thanks, it's changed a bit since you seen it last. I remember being the little guy in that group.

I'm headed to Badlands in two weeks, wanna go? Weekend of the 15th, staying at Summers.

Nice, I need to make it there sometime. Did you drive it there or tow it?

Drove it there and back home from Miwaukee, WI pulling a 4x8 trailer full of camping gear and spare parts. Toasted the rear joint on the rear driveshaft and sprung the yoke which was fixed fairy easily but other than that just some cosmetic damage.

Other than the U joint I kinked two flares, broke a mirror, dented the hood and cowl a bit, cracked the windshield (again) and gouged a sidewall. Nothing too major. Drove home great.
