You must be talking about gay unions? Only a man and woman can be joined in mariage. Oh I am sure this will be feather ruffler! What does it matter to us if they marry? I am not condoning it, I do not even agree with it. IMO It's not a good thing the whole sodomy thing....I find it very interesting that some churches just re-interpret that part of the bible to their point of view (as all of you athiest types love to see "christians do"). I know some inteligent fags, and some stupid ones. They do not seem to care any more or less than hetero's about athiesm/christianity. I think it is more about the"Right" to do it, than the actual union of two people. What's the advantage, their in the minority. I'm glad I am not gay, it does not look easy or fun.

No. I agree that there are one night stands for gays and straights, I agree that the are crazy's in both gay and straight couples, etc. You said there was no other difference, and I chimed in to say that straight couples are like that minus the gay part, and with the addition of the reproductive part. It was not really an important point, it just sounded mildly comical in my head. AJ laughed, it I have confirmation of my suspicion.

I just don't get why people care? Is it because of religious beliefs? are people so intent on imposing their values on other people? a word to those who feel their beliefs are the be all in the end all, leave people alone and live your own life.

1. I am not gay
2. I am not religious
3. I don't care that gay people have sex
4. I don't care if they want to get married
5. I wish the government would work on something important
6. I have no regret
7. Because of #6 I will not lay on my deathbed and say "Damn, I wish I would have opposed gay marriage.

Imagine if all the wasted time on shit like this was put toward good use.
Imagine if our government was proactive instead of reactive.

George Carlin said it best about religious arguments: "My invisable man in the sky is better than your invisable man in the sky"

The new more comical way to tease Christians is to call God a sky daddy. Get hip.

it's about equal rights for all people. We should be progressing and granting more rights to people, not restricting them.

if this is your argument, would you be ok with not allowing inter-racial marriage, as long as a majority of people voted for it?

This is Somethign I've thought of but I'm probably wrong in saying this but....I think that Marriage is a sacrement of the Church and to participate in a sacrement of the church you have to acknowledge your sins. To the Christian Church, Homosexuality (among MANY things Sexual) is a Sin. If they live a life Blatantly in sin, then they are not able to take part in the "Marriage" because it is of a relgious nature. Also, this is the reason you can't take relgion out of the question while talking about Marriage. That's just what I think.

If they want to call it something else IE "civil Union" then that's thier choice. I don't agree with the life style, but they have the "right" to live with one single person the rest of thier lives. They will, however, have to deal with the Consiquences of living a life of sin when they die. I think homosexual rights might actually gain some ground if they didn't want it to be called marriage.

So how do Gay men do Artificial Insemination? Is it like the Movie "Junior"? That was probably, by far, the best Arnold movie. :tonka: "GET THIS BABY INTO THE CHOPPER AND OUT OF MY STOMACH!!!!"

In all serisousness though, you still need the male and female part (Cellular) to make a child. Something a Gay couple will never be able to do. Maybe that's because it was meant to be M/F not M/M or F/F. I'm not saying that they can't bring a child up any better or worst then a Straight couple. I'm just saying that when it comes to the making process, there's only one way (all Sexual Postion jokes aside).

Now you guys are just being retarded. Men adopt children all the time. And women opt for the aritificial insemination. SORRY, i will clarify better next time for the ones who cant understand.:miff:

yes I vote. for whom i think will lie the least and be of the least corrupt. I do not impose their will on others, they do that all by themselves. the problem is that religious types simply can't leave people alone. they are attention whores. if not I would not have a steady calvalcade bible thumpers coming to my house, catholics, lutherans, jehova witness (sp?) and any other number of false sense of security bitches bothering me every weekend. for what? to get me to sign up to your fantasy cult so I can waste the weekends bothering people? that is imposing beliefs.

voting is governmental and I am one of the few that still believes in the separation of church and state. by the way nuns are whores seeing as they are all married to "the lord" poligamist.
