i liked the original better. i missed the boat song from the original. the new one is alot of flashing lights, i bet it would be cool on drugs. but all in all i still liked it.

I loved the new one, but I don't like the Oompa Loompas in this one. I liked the originals and the original music better.

do you mean oompa loompa singular, anyone else notice its the same one over and over and over.

The movie sucked. I hate Tim Burton, he is a dull tasteless director. just IMO

If you watch the making of the oompa loompas on the DVD it shows how they did it. Yes its one guy, but he actually had to play all those spots, they didn't just copy him. Its actually pretty cool.

Well...

I went to see it with a lady (a.k.a. I still haven't seen it), but I heard it was more true to the book and, yet, it still sucked.

I haven't seen it...but by the previews they made Johnny Depp look creepy as hell. That's what you get for having Tim Burton direct it I guess.

I usually like tim burton stuff so i would probably like it a lil bit. I don't see how it could be as good as the original. I was not impressed by the commericals not one bit it did not look good, but like i said tim burton is borderline genius so i would liek to see his interpretation but i doubt it could match the original.
