Default CNC plasma in G.R.???

I just went to pick up some parts from Tab last night in Freeland....yes, 2 hours from G.R. because I couldn't find anyone close to CNC plasma cut some parts for me at a reasonable cost. I'm really considering buying a table for myself if I could get some work from other people in the area to help pay for it. Would anyone on here be interested or know anyone who would be interested in getting some stuff cut here in town?

No, nobody wants your shit. Keep buying from Tab. I believe JCR was building one or something if you decide to have someone cut them again ask them.

Tab is the only source for CNC plasma in michigan, competition is not welcome

the machines are really expensive to have a pretty capable setup, I priced it, not worth it unless you can really justify it.

We are in the process of building one. We won't get it together until we slow down with local work.

And if you want to ship big things, use greyhound. http://www.shipgreyhound.com/

Greyhound absolutely rocks for shipping big things. The problem is its not door to door. You need to dropoff/pickup at the terminals.

Have you thought about water jetting, there are only about 50 places here in the Tri City area that do it. You give them your cad drawing in DXF format and they give you pieces back.

Do you know how much it is? I work in tool and die so I know there are lots of places that do plasma, water jet, laser, and oxy-gas cutting but most of them are large companies that are not efficient for doing small-scale work. I've called a few places and they will either not do it, or they charge about 3-5 times what Tab will charge.

CNC - Laser systems, waterjet systems, oxyfuel torch, these are all available within the GR and surronding areas. I use to program these machines.

Hey, just thought I would let you know. I'm sure Tab does a fine job.
Call around though if you don't want to make the drive.
