SVT: 180 Hp, 6spd, comfy seats and some bling stuff like projector headlights and comfier seats if you get one with what I think was called the european apperance package?

Regular- Still fun with a 5 speed handles great and the Hatchback ones looked really good.

Exactly what I needed to know, I was mostly curious about power/tranny changes, I knew it would handle better and had fancy seats and a body kit.

The SVTs definitely add some flare to the Focus. I was looking at some online, but could not find the color I wanted or low enough mileage to consider buying.

Your gas mileage will roughly be the same, but it will definitely be a little more fun to drive.

Will I be able to smoke scions?

How does it compare to your car? I assume they are fairly similar?

I dont think they compare to greasemonkeys car power wise. You'd get smoked by anyone with a turbo.
I don't usually race cause it is still a focus. Lots of fun to drive and mileage isnt too bad. I have driven a focus zx2 and my svt zx5 and there is a night and day difference. The mileage isnt that different either.

Find out if the one you've come across has had the clutch changed yet. They were shitty from the factory and usually last 50k or less.

sweet car. I would recommend them.

They aren't really fast. The main feature is its handling, which short of a vette or viper, is dang near as good as you get in an american car.

It will be absolutely destroyed in a straight line contest with anything SRT badged.

Honestly, it'll be put to shame by a G6, Accord, Camry, RAV4, insert-V6-powered-family-car-here, etc, in a straight line contest.

its 170 hp, but its top end power.

Would be a fun commuter.

I have a buddy who has one.

It's on the road less than my jeep.

I know the clutch was an issue, but I can't remember what the other problems were.
