Default Man arrested & fined for "dealing raw milk"

http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=63512

This is crazy, I can't believe how far the government will go to "protect" us from evil milk.

It's supposed to be much better for you than pasturized milk. I get organic non-homonigized milk now but I've been trying to find a local source for raw milk from pasture raised, grass fed cows. It's even better. It isn't easy, in Michigan you have to buy into a cow share.

Looks like soon I might have to go down to the hood to score some raw milk.

We plan to join a herd share and get raw milk here in the next month. I grew up on a dairy farm drinking raw milk and I turned out just fine!

but seriously ... we are switching to raw milk. Bonus you can skim the butter cream of the top and make your own butter.

See and I thought it was my job to protect myself.

Why isn't your milk that good? What are your cows eating?

Raw eggs are the way to go too. I hope they don't start pasturizing those! A little hard to get used to, but a perfect food.

Well.....I'll get my flamesuit out and get ready for what I'm sure will be a BIG blast!!

Before you criticize the government, do you ever stop to wonder "Hmmm....why exactly is it illegal to sell raw milk in Michigan?" Keep in mind....if you produce your own milk, you can drink it raw all you want! You just can't sell it!

Milk is pasteurized to kill bacteria and make it safer. Particularly TB. Did you know that Michigan was the FIRST state in the nation to require by law that all milk sold commercially had to be pasteurized?

Selling "cow shares" is just the latest way that some are getting around the ban on selling raw milk. But that won't last long!

It's ironic that when the government tries to protect people from unsafe food, situations, etc......everybody bitches! But....when something happens and people get hurt or die.....everybody bitches about "why doesn't the government do something about this?"

Don't get me wrong.....I'm not saying that the gov't should be up in all of our business. But sometimes, things that might not be clear to you at first glance (i.e. why it's illegal to sell raw milk) make perfect sense when you know the FACTS and the SCIENCE behind it.

Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinions. This is just mine.
