Default So there I was..........

Standing on the corner of 26 mile and VanDyke, klicking my heals and saying there's no place like home, for 5 minutes.
After a few dozen people pointing and laughing at me I decided to start walking home.

Why you may ask?
Because my 50k pickup that's sitting at a Speedway gas station wont start!

So it was only two miles or so home but damn my legs are burning.

Truck has power but when I try to start it, nothing. I tried the usual shifting it in and out of park a few times, rolled it back and fourth shifted back to park, nothing.
Now I need to get it to the dealer.

Nice time for NONE of my neighbors to be home. Well at least the ones I have in my cell phone.

Oh well, it could have been cold and raining.
:dunie:

Hey Stan, really sorry this happened sounds to me just like my wife's XJ that about once a month the neutral safety switch goes haywire. while in park you need to add some tension either up,down or left and right on the shifter while the key is turned until it engages the starter and keep it going until it starts. do not move it so viloent that it comes out of park. haven't traced it down to a specific thing I do have an extra trans to put in but that will have to wait till I'm little more normal.

If you say you get nothing when trying to start it. If this just happened out of the blue, then don't overlook the obvious. It is probably a ground cable that is loose. Check battery, starter,or back of motor.

I have tried moving the shifter while starting, no go.

And yes this is a brand new truck.

Road side assistance: Called......they said they would contact towing company and return my call, they did.
Said towing co. would call to confirm time of pickup, they didn't. So I called them with number provided. They didn't know what the hell I was talking about and said he would have refused the tow because he was about 30 miles from me.
Called Roadside ass. back, they didn't know anything. I said fukc you I will get it towed myself.
While I was back at the truck getting stuff out of it another towing co. showed (local co.) they were there to tow from roadside ass.
Called the company back that I called myself to cancel, by the way, they were charging $60.00 to hookup and $6.00 a mile.
So because its sunday they can't take my truck to the dealer till morning so it is now sitting in a yard somewhere, I didn't even ask where at that point I really dont give a shit.

So I go home and fix my broken motormount bolt on my Jeep from the St. Helen snow run(which is Grandmans fault for making me race him) and now I can't get the fucking front locker to fully disengage. Have to take it apart and adjust the cable (OX Locker).
