That's the last time I'm gonna back my jeep out of my trailer to help you

It appears that my fuel pump may be taking a nap. It worked fine for the whole weekend till then. Haven't had a chance to look at it.

Dam, don't you have any good vids to post in my build thread? Especially after you posted silverxj struggling up impossible right after I smoked it.

Mounted up the paddles last night for a dune run. With the wider axle and lower belly it should be pretty stable.

With the wider axles and no fender flares I think the sand will be flying.

It looks a little goofy with the shorter paddles since the suspension was set up for a 38-40" tire. But I'm hoping to be able to glide over the dunes instead of bouncing.

You should re-name it "Hacksaw" because it is short, squatty and extra wide now.

Looks good, let us know how it throws sand and when your gonna be there.

Also, I would like to know how your gearing vs tire size ride etc... works.

Don't forget your goggles, soemthing tells me you'll need them. It actually looks pretty good, should give ample clearance for when you jump test hill with the 6.0 and new suspension.

Only tough thing is I don't have a sway bar setup yet. I drove it last night & got on it hard. It's fast but squirrly.

I already know it throws sand good. Same engine and same tires as before. Just went from 4.56 to 4.88 gears. So it should be a little quicker.

Not planning on jumping. No bump stops.

The pics here are before I reset the air in the shocks. This shows a little under 4" of exposed rod. I'm shooting for 5".

at first I thought it looked goofy.... but it's starting to grow on me a bit!

get about 5" of shaft showing on the shocks and you'll have a ton of fun out there!

Yeah, it could use a little taller tire but note the comment in the post you quoted. I would rather drag the diff in the sand & smoke the hill than have sand clearance & run out of tire speed.

Thanks for the props.

I'm just worried about losing control on high speed stuff. With low air pressure & the quick steering without a sway bar it gets loose really quick. I stomped on it last night in 2wd on the gravel road with the paddles & by the time it hit second gear it was hard to control.

I think it looks great. Does it still fit in the trailer with those on? I had a really loose or squirrelly Jeep and then on the dunes, it got more stabile. Hopefully the same will happen to you. HAVE FUN!
