Hope ya feel better. Tie's ex-girlfirend once gave me some of her anti-convulsive meds cause I was tired. Said it would keep me up (I had an insain work/school schedule at the time)

One day I was up for 31 hours straight and was about to work another 12, and I took one....holy balls! It SUCKED! I was soooo hyper I wanted to beat my own ass. Then I wanted to kick my own ass for taking it. I don't even take something if I have a headache...sorta anti medicine (go figure, and I work in that field, lol)

I got some vicodin after my wisdom teeth came out. I took one and it knocked me out for almost 24 hours. M alarm went off for about 5 hours before I noticed it.

Vicodin was like Tylenol for me. Helped with some of the pain and didn't affect me otherwise. My body is strange. It basically rejects all forms of drugs, either by cancelling their effects or making me violently ill.

Interesting. Glad to know I'm not the only one like this.

I know it's not good for me, but I've been known to double a dose of pain killers just so it'll actually do it's damn job.

I don't typically use pain killers. Even doubling a dose won't help me. I just don't take pain killers anymore. I deal with the pain rather than spending money on pills. That's why this Tramadol was the last pain killer I plan to pay for other than immediately after my next knee surgeries. Even then, I don't know if I'll bother. Not unless they give me morphine or toradol. Those are the only pain medications that have worked for real on me so far.

damn, dont mess around or anything ......lol

I can deal with the pain, but when I had a blown out knee (all 3 times actually) and the time I had severe burns you need the meds. It hurts so bad you cant even think. and with the knees the muscles would get pissed off and clench it, that was excrutiating

Even then all they gave me was motrin 800's and tylenol 3 for the knees, they were quite awhile ago though.

My pain killers have always been for my knees. I have severe pain every day now. I've already had three surgeries and I'm looking at two more in the very near future.

I have to take something for nausea evertime I take a narc. It's either that, or I will get violently ill and the stomach pain will be geater than the pain I was originally trying to stop. Kinda funny after the fact. I found out the hard way I had that reaction about six years ago after I had back surgery. I was on a morphine drip and after I woke up I was so sick that I put Linda Blair to shame. They took me off of it, gave me something for my nausea, then put me on Dillaudid. I asked what that was and the nurse told me it was the closest thing to Heroine that I would legally get. Pain was still there, but I didn't give a shit!
